Making Easter Feel Easier This Year - Huntington Moms

Every year, Easter somehow turns into a full day; church, baskets, outfits, hosting, desserts; all of it.

And while I love it, I’ve realized I don’t need to do everything for it to feel special.

So this year, I’m doing things a little differently.

🧺 I’m Not Overfilling Easter Baskets

It’s so easy to go overboard here.

Instead of filling them with random things just to make them look full, I’m keeping it simple:

•a few things they’ll actually use (I chose a cute pair of pajamas + slippers)

•one or two things they’re excited about (A new book + trendy water bottle for school)

+ that’s it

They don’t need more, they just need it to feel special.

🐰 I’m Not Turning It Into a Full Production

No over-the-top setups, no pressure for everything to look perfect.

We’ll still do all the fun things; but in a way that feels easy, not like I’m hosting a full event.

⏰ I’m Not Over-Scheduling the Day

Trying to fit everything in just makes the day feel rushed.

This year, I’m leaving space:

•time at home

•time for the kids to just play

•time to actually enjoy it

📸 I’m Not Stressing Over Perfect Photos

Of course I want pictures; but I’m not chasing the “perfect” one.

Some of my favorite photos are the ones that aren’t planned at all.

Easter doesn’t have to be more to be meaningful. Sometimes doing less is what actually makes it feel like a day your kids will remember.

This is what I’m not doing this year and honestly, it already feels lighter.

Curious what everyone else is skipping this year too…because I know I’m not the only one 🤍
