Can you please describe your family, where you live and how long you’ve lived there. Why did you choose to live in this area?
We are a family of 3! It’s my husband Adam, our daughter Thira and me 🙂 Thira is a year and a half. We live in Bellerose, NY which is Queens, but on the Long Island border. Think city, yet suburbs. As a family we love the beach, a good laugh and great food!
When did you start working with Mac & Mia and why did you join the team?
I started with Mac & Mia in November 2018. I was already ordering boxes for Thira and fell in love with the concept and quality clothing so one day I thought, “I’d love to be a part of this!”
What is your favorite part of being a stylist?
I love helping other mom’s check something off their to-do list. Even though I have a flexible schedule, I hate shopping with my daughter. I always feel like we could be spending our time doing something more meaningful. Mac & Mia’s service is perfect for allowing moms (especially busy ones) to do just that!
What was your background prior and how does it help you with your current role?
In my previous life, I was an Executive Assistant for 10+ years. I’m able to use my organization and customer service skills while tapping into my creative nature as a stylist! It’s the best of both worlds 🙂
If someone is considering becoming stylist, what would you like to tell them?
And if someone is considering using Mac & Mia for the first time, would would you tell them?
You’ve got nothing to lose! Whether you’re looking for wardrobe staples or stand out pieces, Mac & Mia covers it all and caters the box to your style and budget. Just let your stylist know what you’re looking for 🙂
What’s a trend in kids clothing you’re loving for spring/summer?
I am really into all the ruffles we’re seeing in girls clothing. They’re so fun, both adults and kids love them.
What should all parents shopping for kids keep in mind, in terms of finding clothes that kids will love?
Keep it comfortable! Cute clothing (that your kid will actually like) doesn’t have to be scratchy, tight or heavy.
We always like to share some local recommendations from moms we interview, in case people are considering moving to your area, or just visiting! Could you please provide examples of places you love for 4-6 of the below? Thank you!
Eat with/without kids – Taverna Kyclades, with or without kids. We love the Bayside location.
Have a date night – Our local date spot is The Harrison in Floral Park.
Spa/salon – Check out Tammie at Luminez Salon. Sit in her chair once, and it’s like you’ve been friends forever.
Other places you just love in your area that you go to on a regular basis/ Any hidden treasures you want to share? WowMom’s in Mineola is perfect for a playdate, Momdate, workout class or just to grab a coffee. It’s kid friendly and a mother’s dream!
Anything else you’d like us to know about you, or your Mac & Mia experience?
Mac & Mia makes me feel like I really can have it all. I’m able to spend time with my daughter while contributing to my family and having self worth. What’s better than that?!
