Meet A Mom – Olivia Howell | Huntington & Smithtown Moms

Meet Olivia Howell, Mom of 2, and owner of Howell Media House, a women-owned Media Management company!  Get to know her below.

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I’m originally from Huntington and now I live in Elwood.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I have two sons, ages 2.5 and 5.5

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I’ve run influencer campaigns for major brands and work with celebs on a daily basis behind the scenes!

What is your favorite thing about living here?
I love having grown up here because it really does feel like a small town – I mean all of Long Island! You always know someone who knows someone and I love that.

What do you love to do with your family around town?
We are huge fans of Book Revue (that little fire truck is the best), and I take my boys to the Northport, Elwood, and Harborfields’ Libraries all of the time to play and meet up with friends. My husband and I love walking around the village on date night and running into people we know!

Tell us about your business and how it came to be, what you love about it, what makes it unique, what your goal is, etc…
I was a Latin teacher at East Woods School for almost a decade and transitioned into managing social media for local businesses after my oldest son was born. I ran social media for local supermarkets, law firms, and entrepreneurs – we have now evolved into a global media management business, where we manage social media for food companies, television shows, and celebrities. Recently we started managing influencers and influencer campaigns as well. I love networking with people, so it’s a joy for me to mesh all of the moving pieces and people together in the name of social media and influencer marketing. Goals wise, we are excited to keep growing, maybe add a blog, podcast, and always love working with local businesses!

Are you involved in anything else within the community?

I am the Facebook admin for the Momprenuers of Huntington group and have given social media talks at some of their meetings. I have one coming up on March 19th at the Elwood Library!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The community of women and moms in Huntington and neighboring towns have been so encouraging and supportive of each other! There is always someone to bounce ideas off of and I love networking with local moms.

You can contact Olivia by email and follow her on Instagram and Facebook!
