I recently had a chance to interview Jessica, owner of Skin Bar New York, a full service Medi Spa, specializing in Skin Care, Hair Removal and Injectables. Jessica is a local supermom, who takes pride in providing excellent service for her clients. Get to know her below!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from Brooklyn, New York and I was raised in the city until I was 22. I moved out to Long Island with my boyfriend who is now my husband and father to my 2 baby girls. I’ve lived in the town of Huntington now for 10 years.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
Valeria is my oldest and she is 2 and a half and Gianella is my youngest and is 13 months.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I LOVE going clay shooting! Even though I’m not the best.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Definitely my mother. She has taught me how to listen and pay close attention to my instinct when it comes to everything in life but, especially when it comes to my kids. It has yet to steer me wrong.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I love taking them to the city when I get the chance. Seeing the expressions on their faces to all of the lights and action is more fun for me than it is for them!

I am involved in a business venture, my medi spa called Skin Bar New York. I am a strong feminist in the sense that I believe women are amazingly strong and really have so many roles to fill and tasks to complete on a daily basis. Being a woman is a never ending juggling act. We should all be each other’s biggest support group which is why I am in the business of helping every woman I come into contact with, feel empowered. When you look good, you feel good, therefore you do good.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Women love to talk! And majority of my business has come from word of mouth. My treatments are about results and the results have been speaking for themselves.
